Too many awful things, too much discouragement and disappointment, too many fruitless attempts Sunday after Sunday after Sunday.

Praying for both of us that we would find a place to fellowship with part of the body of Christ.Hippie Housewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14718357472343295031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7084876109811698517.post-32976307621311940772013-08-07T09:52:42.658-07:002013-08-07T09:52:42.658-07:00We struggled for the first 7-8 years of our marria...We struggled for the first 7-8 years of our marriage to find a church where we feel at home. We joined the Episcopal church in 2008 and love it. Our new church in SC is Anglican and both churches have the same type service. I will pray that God shows you where you need to be. I haven't been very diligent about even trying in the past several years myself, and small children are a good excuse, of course.

I have been thinking finding a church active in social justice causes would be a good idea, because it's something I would like to be more involved in and it is evidence of exactly the kind of thing you are looking for (and sadly rare I think among many churches).

And I admit I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Love to you Dulce!Kellyhttp://www.becomingcrunchy.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7084876109811698517.post-40347868784637118952013-08-07T04:20:13.759-07:002013-08-07T04:20:13.759-07:00Yes, this. We have attended a UMC in the past, but we seem to always be drawn back to an ELCA Lutheran congregation. Hubby is going to be around several weekends in a row, so we may make another attempt. It does get to the point, however, where I start to think all I'm doing is trying to keep my own kids on task and quiet (or am out in the hall with A) so then what's the point? Sigh.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7084876109811698517.post-79975176013975427012013-08-07T01:04:10.933-07:002013-08-07T01:04:10.933-07:00Does the church only have one pastor? If your child liked it I think it is worth a couple more times to be sure if it could work or not. My church is not perfect but there is something there that make me feel happy to go there and I can overlook the things I don't like.Elinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06401440551873070129noreply@blogger.com
