I'm a fairly new momma to a beautiful little girl who is just learning to walk, is selectively interested in solid food, and cutting her top teeth :)

That said, I just want to tell you that I must be #13, and there are probably a lot more lurkers like me. I also want to tell you that I am grateful for the stories you tell and the opinions you share. They have made me think ahead to the very near future when I will be faced with discipline challenges. I would have seen my daughter through the eyes/labels of "difficult," "unruly," or "bad." I probably would have yelled whatever popped into my head first. Now, I've realized that parenting takes a little bit more intention than that! You've helped me realize that even when I am frustrated, this beautiful child is only being normal and learning about the world around them. She is not Stewey from Family Guy :) I appreciate your words on discipline, especially from your Chrsitian perspective. I'm beginning to form a parenting philosophy that I'm much more confident about and happy with. I learn so much from you!

AngelaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
